Steve Barnard
Steve remembers a time in elementary school when the first spark ignited his creative self.
After winning an award in 9th grade for his entry in a HIRE THE HANDICAPPED Idaho public schools competition, Steve became one the most recognized student artists all through high school.
After a semester at Boise State College and then nearly five years in the USAF Steve enrolled in the Bates Voc-Tech and graduated from the Dental Laboratory two year program.
All the while He continued painting and studying art, making jewelry, sculptures, woodworking, etc.
Mostly known for using repurposed materials in the forms of mechanical beings, Steve created those pieces life-sized with integrated music players and lights.
Painting and illustration is his first love. Fantasy landscapes, cars, portraits, still life, etc.
Knowing and painting with Fred Oldfield in the past is a special experience in Steve’s life.
